Subscribers have privileged access to restricted sections of the site for all the
Product Maps to which they subscribe.
The Product Map Web site consists of 72 Market Analysis Portals, each focusing on
a product cluster ranging from agricultural machinery to fruit juice or wood products.
Each Product Map has been designed to offer extensive business information 'for
going global' and cover both quantitative and qualitative market information. The
combination of both qualitative market intelligence and statistical data in a web-based
portal offers visitors and subscribers to the Product Map Web Site a virtual one-stop
platform designed to assist in the preparation of strategic and operational trade
development plans.

Each Product Map provides three types of tools:
1. Market Positioning tools, only available to Subscribers, which offer in an interactive
environment, extensive international trade statistics on over 180 countries and
5,000 products, as well as detailed information on best performing products, market
sizes, trade flows, regional trends and country-based macro-economic indicators.

2. Networking Tools, which identify business contacts and companies, or 'Market
Makers', active in the product sectors covered by each Product Map. In addition,
this module offers storefront facilities allowing companies to set up their own
presence on the net. Rights to create and post a Storefront requires a subscription.

3. Market Intelligence tools, which present a complete suite of qualitative information,
ranging from published market studies to price information and 'smart links' to
information sources.

ITC welcomes contacts from Trade Support Institutions (TSIs) willing to assist in
the dissemination of Product Map to enterprises and trade associations in their
own country. Special subscription rates have been designed for TSIs.
Fast reaction to global market developments, knowledge of competitors' activities
and a clear understanding of international clients' needs are one of the keys to
successful export marketing. But the challenge remains for companies and organizations
in developing countries where relevant, reliable and structured market intelligence
is not always instantly accessible. Product Map's high quality, deeper insights
into global markets, ideally complement ITC's other market analysis tools - Country
Map and TradeMap, to assist companies and TSIs in addressing this challenge.
The costs outlined below are introductory charges to access the full content of
Product Maps and might be subject to change. Please contact pmaps@intracen.org for
further assistance. Changes will be notified with two months notice on this Web

ITC encourages contacts between TSIs and local companies, particularly small and
medium enterprises, in order to facilitate their access to market analysis tools
and to assist in the preparation of business development plans and export marketing
